Some of Our Favorite Patient Stories from the Past Decade

Entering a new decade gives us at Male Fertility & Sexual Medicine Specialists a chance to celebrate all of the people we’ve had the honor of treating during the past ten years. During that time, we have received many letters of joy and gratitude from our former patients. We love hearing about the families we have helped create and grow.

Here are a few of our favorite stories from the past decade.

"Twenty years after my original vasectomy, Dr. Bastuba performed a vasectomy reversal on me in October of 2012. At the age of 63, I was able to conceive with my wife! For us, this was truly a miracle. You were obviously the right doctor for us – a huge thank-you to you and your staff! We are so very happy.”

“I had a vasectomy when I was too young to know better. When I got remarried, I attempted to have a reversal, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. My wife and I were trying to deal with the fact that we might never have children of our own. After researching many doctors and doing my homework, I felt convinced that traveling to San Diego to have Dr. Bastuba attempt to reverse my vasectomy was the right thing to do.

It was approximately 60 days after my surgery that we found out my wife was pregnant! Several years and three beautiful girls later, we have decided our family is complete!”

That all changed when I met Dr. Bastuba – he quickly diagnosed me with urological problems. My condition had become very serious and required surgery. Dr. Bastuba performed the surgery spectacularly, and my recovery was easier than I ever imagined. Over the next few years, I was able to have two more children with my wife. Even though I was in my 50s, I was able to enjoy a second youth through the birth of these two daughters.”
