Dr. Bastuba Welcomes Applicants for a Two-Week Externship Program
Starting this month, Dr. Bastuba of the Male Fertility & Sexual Medicine Specialists (MFS) is offering a special externship program for students and sales representatives. After experiencing an influx of inquiries about programs that allowed for shadowing our laboratory and Dr. Bastuba, MFS decided to formalize mentoring by starting this new externship program.

The Male Fertility & Sexual Medicine Specialists externship program has many exciting features and benefits, including:
• Candidates will be exposed to all aspects of operations at MFS and at our partner, the (link: http://www.spermbankcalifornia.com/ text: Fertility Center of California (FCC]).
• As part of the program, candidates will be asked to create a short white paper that researches or provides in-depth feedback on a specific area of interest that involves FCC/MFS services or products. It will include a presentation to Dr. Bastuba on the last day of the program.
• The program will run for two consecutive weeks in our office located at 6699 Alvarado Road Suite 2208, San Diego, Calif.
• Each day will start at 8 a.m. and finish at 3:30 p.m. (some flexibility is possible).
During the externship, candidates will be able to attend new patient and established patient visits with our practitioners, see phlebotomy, intra-uterine inseminations (artificial inseminations), testicular fine need biopsy (TFNA), testicular epididymis sperm extraction (TESE), as well as vasectomies and vasectomy reversals, depending on patient appointments and consent. Our goal is to expose each candidate to the world of urology with a concentration on male reproductive needs.
